Registration
If you register before July 1st the registration fee is $30.00, if you register after that date the fee is $40.00. Registration fees per additional family members are $15.00. All registration fees are nonrefundable. A signed registration form and registration fee is due by the first class.
Tuition
Tuition is due on the first week of every month, no exceptions. Payments may be brought to class or mailed to the studio at 1083 East Main St. Torrington, CT 06790. If tuition is not received by the 15th of the month, a $15.00 late fee will be charged for every week tuition is late.
A 40.00 Returned check fee will be charged if a check is returned by the bank and a check will no longer be accepted for the remainder of the year.

Two weeks notice is required if a student withdraws and no payment is expected, if a student fails to notify the studio then you would be expected to pay for the entire month.
Attendance
If a student is unable to attend a class, please call the studio at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled class to notify the instructor so a makeup class can be scheduled for the missed class.
Costumes
A $50.00 nonrefundable deposit per costume is required by November 1st. The balance is due by December 5th.
Costumes will be distributed at the beginning of May. If there is an outstanding balance on your account, you will not receive your costume until your balance is paid.
Cancellations
If the studio closes due to inclement weather please listen to WZBG radio, call the studio at 860 482-7799 after 2 p.m. or visit us on face book to see if your class has been cancelled.

MISS MELANIE'S DANCE ZONE DRESS CODE
All hair must be securely pulled back off of the neck and face, braids must not be able to hit face when turning or tumbling - must be tucked in or pinned up! (Bun or French braid) NO ponytails!
No dangle earrings - studs only! No jewelry in acrobatics!
No jeans, pajamas or street clothes of any kind will be allowed in class!
You may wear Miss Melanie's Dance Zone attire but only for warmups unless specified!!
.Ir/Sr Ballet - Any color leotard but black is preferred, ballet pink or black tights, pink canvas ballet shoes. (elastics must be sewn on ballet slippers, not tied), hip alignment belt is optional (may wear legwarmers, ballet skirt) Hair in a secure bun.
Pointe - Same as ballet, pointe shoes see instructor (when instructor tells you that you need new shoes you have 2 weeks to get them or show proof
of purchase that they have been ordered. You are not allowed to change hardness of shank without consent from instructor)
.Iazz/Lyrical/Modern - Any color leotard, any color footless or stirrup tights, sports bra, camisole, fitted dance pants, fitted dance capri' s, fitted dance shorts, foot undeez or pirouette shoes/see instructor for shoes)
.Ir/Sr Tap - Any color leotard, any color tights, camisole, fitted dance capri's, dance shorts, or fitted dance pants (that do not go past your ankle, Do Not want them to the floor due to slipping), Dance Zone attire allowed. Girls need black Mary Jane buckle strap tap shoes. (NO VELCRO) Please check screws often-if they do not stay in and are affecting the students dancing the instructor may advise a solution/ or request you to get a new pair. (You have 2 weeks to get them/ or show proof of purchase if ordered.)
Acrobatics - Any color leotard, any color footless or stirrup tights, fitted dance shorts, sports bras, barefoot. (Absolutely NO SHIRTS or PANTS of any kind!)
Hip-Hop - Camisole, fitted t-shirt, dance pants that do not go past your ankle. (Do not want them to the floor due to slipping), dance capri's, dance shorts, Dance Zone attire is allowed, black hip hop sneakers.
Technique - Any color leotard, any color footless or stirrup tights, fitted dance shorts, fitted capris or dance pants (fitted to the ankle), barefoot or foot undeez or pirouette shoes.
Combination Class/Creative Movement - any color leotard, any color tights.
Tap - Black tap shoes
Ballet - White or pink ballet shoes (not slippers)
Acrobatics/Hip Hop - Barefoot (make sure tights are footless or stirrup)
Boys - Any color plain t-shirt or tank top, any plain color pants or shorts, NO pockets (sweatpants are allowed), Dance Zone attire is also allowed, see instructor for shoes.
Boys Ballet - White fitted t-shirt or tank, black shorts or pants, NO pockets (does not need to wear hip alignment belt)

- First time you do not follow dress code you will get a written warning.
- Second time you will watch your class.
